Manufacturing – Drilling
An engineer inspects the rock face in order to direct the drilling to follow the vein of gold.
This series of images is a part of a multi-week photo assignment to record all aspects of a mining operation in Northern Quebec. The impetus for the assignment was the fact that the first gold bar produced from the mine was scheduled to be poured. The photos were taken using a Nikon F4 SLR camera and an assortment of lenses. The client was Peter Ferderber, the founder and principal shareholder in the mine.
